The hosepipe ban, which began on the 5th April 2012, has finally been lifted! The ban had affected around four million people in areas with water supplies from seven water companies across the UK; Anglian Water, Southern Water, South East Water, Veolia Central, Veolia South Easy, Thames Water and Sutton & East Surrey. This means that for the first time in around 94 days, neighbourhoods in these parts of England can finally use their hosepipes to water the garden, fill up paddling pools and to clean their car or boat in time for the Summer months that lay ahead.
