Noise levels:
The industry standard for measuring noise of portable equipment has always been the decibel level at 7m. Recently the EU have stipulated that all machines must have the noise level measured at 1m using a sound pressure measuring device.
You will see that power equipment now has a square decal staing, for example 92bBA, this is the new sound presure measurement, which equates to approximately 58db @ 7m.
